Ces Mya arenaria viennent de la baie d' Arcachon, collectées par Jean Vilain. Ce genre de coquilles est très fragile, avec le temps et la dessication la nacre part en copeaux. Cela se voit aussi sur les ormeaux. Elle est répandue de l' Océan Arctique à la Caroline du Nord et des côtes du Royaume Uni à la Méditerranée. Taille: 93 et 72 mm.
These are Mya arenaria from the Bay of Arcachon, collected by Jean Vilain. This kind of shell is very fragile, with time and desiccation the nacre goes to chips. This is seen also on the abalone. It is widespread in the Arctic Ocean to the North Carolina coast and the UK to the Mediterranean. Size: 93 and 72 mm.
